Man convicted of toddler's murder
9 August 2006
A 27-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder of Glasgow toddler Andrew Morton. The two-year-old died after being hit on the head with an airgun pellet near his home in the Easterhouse area of the city on 2 March 2005. Mark Bonini had admitted firing the shot which killed the toddler but denied murder. Christopher Queen, 22, who was in Bonini's flat at the time of the shooting, told the court that Bonini said "this is where I shoot the school children in the morning" as he opened the bedroom window.

Fury at airgun killer's home visits
16th October 2006
The mother of a toddler murdered in an airgun attack has condemned prison chiefs for allowing her son's killer home visits. Sharon McMillan's two-year-old son Andrew Morton died after being shot in the head with an air gun pellet in Glasgow in March 2005. Mark Bonini, 28, was jailed for at least 13 years and failed in an attempt to challenge his sentence earlier this year. The killer is reported to have been allowed home last month to see his dying grandfather and will on Thursday attend his funeral in the same church where the toddler he murdered had his funeral. http://icwestlothian.icnetwork.co.uk/news/nationalnews/nationalnews/tm_headline=fury-at-airgun-killer-s-home-visits&method=full&objectid=17875789&siteid=92284-name_page.html
