A 17-year-old boy has died after being shot in an air rifle accident in south Wales, police said on Monday. Police have arrested two local youths, aged 18 and 16, and recovered an air weapon from the scene. Local councillor Mark Whitcutt told the BBC: "You wonder about the levels of responsibility or the levels of awareness (people have) about the damage lethal weapons can do."

Daniel Marsh suffered a ruptured artery in his chest after a pellet entered his body.
"He staggered 70 yards and collapsed in the street. A couple of people came out because of the frenzied activity in the street and a neighbour tried to carry out emergency medical assistance," he said. Paramedics tried to revive Daniel as they took him the short distance to the hospital. Staff there continued to try to save his life, but could not. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_east/7090184.stm
